NZ International Comedy Festival 2012 and Tanuki sushi and Sake bar
Yes, it is that time of year.We would love to send two of you to see international act Janey Godley AND have a $100 dinner on us.

Last year’s competition was so popular we had to do it again.

The show is on THURSDAY 17 May at 8:30pm.

The Queen of Scottish comedy is back with a brand new hour on her 4^th tour to the NZ International Comedy Festival.

Scotland’s Festival favourite is back. Bestselling author, playwright and award-winning stand-up. Janey has been the epicentre of yet more extraordinary events, personal disasters and strange-but-true happenings. A sex party in LA with the worst buffet, the joy of finding out you may have been responsible for a man’s death, and her recent pregnancy scare make up this year’s hour of fun.

Happy Hour at Tanuki. For all of the month of March, Tanuki sushi and sake bar are having happy hour from 5-6pm every night. Come in early for an Asahi 334ml bottle, a glass of Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc or glass of Spy Valley Merlot Cabernet franc all for $5.00 each!!
Kampai to that! ( we will have a full dinner menu on offer as well of course)

Stoke beer week at the Cave 19-25 March 2012 For one week only, we will be stocking three Stoke beers of Nelson; Amber, Gold and Lager for $7.50.
We will also be offering their ”Bomber Bohemian Ale” for our regulars to try for free!

Next month, the 2012 Comedy Festival comes to town and we have tickets to a show and dinner to give away at Tanuki…..

Kura open for lunch and new website

NEWS FLASH!!!
Kura starting lunches from Thursday, 2 February 2012
We are opening the Kura temple door for lunches Thursday and Friday 12-2pm

A small but special lunch menu

Rolled vegetarian sushi (cucumber, lettuce, capsicum and shredded daikon radish)

Seared salmon rolled sushi (Fresh salmon and avocado with sliced onion and Flying fish roe covered with seared salmon sashimi dressed with Kura original sauce)

Special Lunch Set (Main CHANGES DAILY -Please ask your waitress)
With steamed rice, 2 pieces of rolled sushi and salad

When you make your booking, mention that you get our newsletter and you will also get a free green tea icecream for each guest in your group

Now the CAVE’S largest table “The Cage” can be booked only on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights from 5:30pm till 8pm. Table suits 12 people or less.

Cost is $300 MINIMUM SPEND. This includes drink and food to that amount.
