Tanuki was the first Japanese restaurant to have more then one sake on its menu, in fact it started with 40 different kinds and even now still has 30 types.
Sake comes by 1.8l bottle or tokkuri 360ml bottle, and is served hot or cold. Among other firsts were the long counter seats where customers can watch and talk to the staff as they work.
With seasonal menus, hanging noren, empty sake bottle displays inside and out of the shop, we have at all times we have endeavoured to maintained
a genuine Japanese style and atmosphere.
